The Arp Rotor is a three-voice micro-synth with arpeggiator that can be controlled via any of these options. As you might expect for a synth with such a simple control scheme, it’s a straightforward but inspired synth that seems intuitive and immediately playable.
The Arpeggiator Panel is where all the notes in all the selected voices are shown. You can adjust the velocity (drag the pitch slider) and the note duration (drag the time slider). Then you can create arpeggios by clicking on the buttons at the top.
The oscillator output is connected to all the voices in the sequencer, allowing for the creation of a chord, a melody, or an arpeggio. You can also make arpeggios using the buttons to the left. The LFOs can be used to control the pitch and time of the notes. Note that you can export all the created sounds into the other notes in the Arrangement Panel. The arpeggiator is a must-have tool for chord playing.
The Editor Panel is where all the notes are represented. You can edit all the parameters (Pitch, Time, Key, Velocity) and add or delete notes. All the notes (and the corresponding parameters) are represented by small dots that you can drag and place freely on the horizontal line. You can use the slider to alter the note parameters: pitch, time, or both. Note that all the automation is put in the Arrangement Panel, so you won't notice any difference.
The Arrangement Panel is also where you can implement automation of play, which is basically the automation of your actions. This applies to arpeggiation of all the selected voices, the volume of each one, and many more.
