I've tried to increase the values on the 'ambient lightning', 'ambient thunder', 'ambient lightning (ambient thunder)' (to no avail), but I'm still battling with the 'ambient lightning (ambient thunder)' values, where even the thunder is not detected any more at night.
I know that there are some add-ons that can simulate lightning, but I've been looking at them, and all are very expensive, some lack stability, and some are not 'realistic' or 'darker nights'. None of them are free.
