Set up your Git project repository for this course:Now, with the Git knowledge you have gained in class, create a private project named ECL2017S in your local/remote repository and push/pull it to your remote/local repository, once you add the following content requested in this homework, to your project. In your repository, have at least the following three folders: homework, quiz, exam, each of which contains a readme.md file describing the content of the directory. Within this blog post, I'm sharing printable labels for homework folders, daily folders, and planners that the students take home. I've found that it's one of the easiest and quickest ways to communicate with parents and guardians (especially when 36 students are involved).
Using a daily folder for home and school communication is a great tool to use year after year. Newsletters, graded papers, field trip forms, notes, and fundraisers can be sent home to parents through the daily folder.
Get started by printing these labels for folders and planners to use throughout the school year. As I mentioned before, it doesn't matter if you are a new teacher or veteran teacher. Starting the year organized for you, your students, parents, and guardians will set you up for success in the long run!
I used to send homework home nightly, but found it to add chaos to each and every day. I would spend many lunch periods copying an assignment for that night. Kids would forget to take their copy home. Parents would call or email to get clarification on what the assignment was for that night.
