[ January 01, 3000] Prism Video Converter 6.13 for Win32 is now available. This is NOT an alpha release. This is version 6.01 of the Prism Video Converter 6.13. The version numbers are important. They indicate the progression of the project. The latest version of Prism is just that: the most recent version, and it definitely has some substantial changes versus the previous versions.
The recent version of Prism uses a new XML-based 'class hierarchy' that I've written. This new Class Hierarchy is used to describe the semantics of video files. The class hierarchy is designed to be human friendly, and is not as rigid as XML Schema. This is the first release of this new 'Interop' aspect of Prism. There are some other aspects of Prism which use XML, but use MUCH simpler XML Schema. Prism is not a primitive; it's designed to be a framework that others can use to implement their own products. So you can use the current version of Prism, or you can download and use the 'core' of Prism, and write your own products on top of it.
[January 1, 2000] PRISM Profile of the RDF Description Framework. \"This work is the result of an international collaboration between seven technology, metadata and interaction working groups in the W3C. (See: http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf for more info.) \" The goal is to provide a specification framework for the RDF Description Framework, or RDF for short.
2) Those who build and maintain 'Linked Data'-aware applications need a standard mechanism for 'floating' links. When a RDF document is rendered into HTML, it is represented via a directed graph. Currently, a lot of information is lost from this representation. This includes, most importantly, the awareness of the binding between the 'data'-graph and the 'vocabularies'-graph. There is some standardization work here in coming that may soon fix this in RDF 1.1 (a First Edition standard), but it hasn't been resolved in RDF 1.0. As a result, there is no mechanism for 'floating' links in RDF data. This is a major roadblock to building 'Linked Data'-aware applications. 7211a4ac4a
